Introduction

BudBot was made to aid in the study the relationship between AI Errors, Social Cues and Trust in game environments. 

The project was developed in Unity3D.


The work has been submitted to the 2021 ACM CHI Conference in Yokohama, Japan.

In this project, I took the role of Lead Developer and was responsible for technical developments and design of the project. 
Following technical specifications provided by the leading researcher, a four section sandbox with different mechanics were requested to be completed. 

The project required players to be prompted by in-game guides in a different way for each section, with different  objectives and instructions. Incorrect guidance by the "AI" was given intentionally as part of the study and we had to ensure each action required explanation from the in-game guide.
