ICEBREAKER

A demo of the game can be played in the embedded WebGL client and a sample of the prototype scripts written by me can be found here.

Introduction

Icebreaker is a narrative role-playing game made in Unity3D. The goal of this project was to create a number of different variations to a base game and see how differences can affect player's choices and feelings.

In this project, I took the role of the Lead Developer and took charge of implementing all systems required for the project.

For this project, as there were overlapping scenes with dynamically changing outcomes based on choices made by the player, a custom dialogue system had to be implemented for the project.  Furthermore, the dialogue was to be written and added to the game by other lab assistants with little to no experience in Unity3D, therefore I designed a container based system to accommodate these requirements.
