

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius
Final Fantasy Brave Exvius (FFBE) is a free-to-play mobile turn-based role-playing game developed by Alim and published by Square Enix for iOS and Android devices.
I worked on FFBE (Global) for 3 years, starting as a Game Design Intern, moving on to Game Designer and was eventually appointed as the Game Design Lead.

As a Senior Game Design:

Worked with and led a team of 10 game designers, supporting and overseeing proposals, ideas and implementation of released game content as the Game Design Lead.

Designed, proposed and supervised the overall direction and implementation of “Clash of Wills: Another”, an upgrade to the existing game mode, “Clash of Wills”​​

Supervised, worked with and communicated with stakeholders to propose the release of Global Original events and game improvements.

Studied and analysed player participation, feedback and game data to drive improvements and designs for events, rewards and game economy.

Adjusted and made improvement to certain work processes to reduce the risk of human-error and to help improve cross team communication.

As a Game Designer:​

Proposed and documented recommended adjustments to event formats, rewards and difficulty to ensure suitability for the audience of the Global Version.

Designed, proposed and implemented Global Original Events and Boss Monsters for the Global Audience as well as managed the Global Original game mode “Clash of Wills”.

Cooperated and communicated with teams of other disciplines (Art, Operations, Localization, Development Team) as well as IP Stakeholders (Square Enix) to bring the events and monsters to full release in live production.

Provided technical assistance to other Game Designers and assisted with the testing and checking of issues reported by players, while preparing the necessary remedy.
As part of my work, MySQL, Microsoft Excel, Confluence and Jira are all tools that I learnt and used.
